I can’t believe other people have rated this with 5 stars. The idea of the product is nice which requires no shaving cream or lotion (that’s what the advertising said when this was New in the market 5-6 years ago. I have got 2 for free with coupon then, and other brands one looked similar (with moisture strips around blades,etc), so I have been keeping this Intuition instead trying other. But it is only because I do not shave often and don’t think this is priority matter, so always forgot to buy something new, this does not mean I love this product.
Well, As you see, this shaver has a blade (or blades) surrounded with thick white staff that is something like a soap, so you just moisten your skin with water, then shave with Intuition, when the soap-like staff around the blade contact your moisten skin, it helps the blades run on your skin smoothly, so no need shaving lotion. I love this idea, since I don’t shave so often, almost always I do not have any shaving lotion or gel prepared, so the product like Intuition is very convenient. (also great for travel, you don’t need to take a can or bottle of shaving gel/lotion with, just pack the Intuition).
But there is a problem with using this product. Whenever I use this for my legs, I get itchy after shaving. the soap-like staff doesn’t seem good for my skin. I have used this Cucumber scent (it’s for Normal to Dry skin, right? then should be more moisture than regular one, right?) after I noticed the problem with regular one, but nothing changed, still itchy, so recently I bought refills for sensitive skin, but still itchy. Whenever I feel itchy after shaving, I immediately put some lotion on my legs, but any amount of fragrance in any lotion seem bother the itchy and it gets worse, but without putting any lotion, my legs gets dried, so I really don’t know the solution. (Even Johnson ’s baby oil irritates the area I get itchy after shaving with Intuition). Yesterday I shaved fegs for emergency (to wear knee length skirt to go out), and woke up this morning with itchy legs, seriously. I don’t know why nobody complain about the same problem. I am not a very sensitive skin person at all, but this Intuition’s moisture part irritates my legs. (maybe I just thought not very sensitive but actually I might? Is skin type different by body parts even on a same person? I said I am not a sensitive skin person based on the fact I know that my face’s skin type which is oily). I really don’t know.
And besides the skin problem with this product, one more problem. Theadvertising of the product said that this product is so smooth, so it should provent cuts, (I remember the advertising said something like this), but almost always I get cuts. it may be just because I am crumsy than regular people, but 99% usually get cuts, actually that’s the reason I do not shave often. New product like this (gets me itchy and cuts always after use) keeps me away more and more from shaving.
