When I first came across this product, I had been using a more expensive leave-in conditioner found at a beauty supply. When I turned the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream jar over, I found that the ingredients this leave-in and the more expensive one I had been using weren’t that much different. The real differences I found were how each of them smelled. And yes, Cantu smelled better!

My Use:
I have curly hair. Yes, a gift and a curse. Wavy, curly or coarse hair always needs more moisture. The cuticle in curly hair, because of the spiral, stands out a little bit, which causes the frizz and bushiness. It’s also searching for moisture, so it goes outward.
I use this product after I shampoo and condition my hair in the morning. When you open Cantu, it smells great! It’s much like shea or cocoa butter with a dash of fruitiness.
Cantu is very creamy, but NOT greasy. It’s made with natural oils that coat curly hair and help to reduce fizz, but not weigh the hair down with yucky oils like petroleum or make it look/feel sticky. I used about the size of a silver dollar for my hair.
Not only does Cantu go on non-greasy and soak in easily, it instantly makes my hair look great and seals my ends, even if I haven’t had a hair trim in a while and may have those notorious “curly hair split ends”. Even though I apply Cantu after my hair is fully detangled, it helps to keep it that way. Curly hair is pretty vain, and likes to wrap around itself. Cantu prevents this and leaves your curls defined as well as frizz free.
Another thing I love about Cantu is that it lasts all day. A lot of leave-ins help hair look great for the first half of the day and wear off substantially. Cantu keeps my curls looking great until I go to bed. Soybean oil and Shea butter are great for any type of hair. Chemically processed or dyed hair would really benefit from using Cantu leave in treatment.
I can say that after using this for three months my hair is healthier and easier to manage. Most days are good hair days!

Wait 24 hours after hair coloring to apply any styling or conditioning product. Avoid applying any styling or conditioning product directly on new growth.
Always remove or neutralize chemical treatments before applying this styling or conditioning product.

My jars last me about 3-4 weeks, because I’m heavy handed with leave-in conditioner products!
