During my last trip to Bath & Body Works I noticed their Sea Island Cotton line, and after taking a sniff fell in love with its clean, fresh scent. I picked up a tube of the Creamy Body Wash, and the Body Lotion. Here’s my take on the Creamy Body Wash.
~ Product Description
Taken from Bath & Body Works website: “Pure white cotton flows in fresh ocean air. Soft. Clean. Heavenly. Fragrant, everyday body wash gently cleanses with a rich, luxurious lather. Fragrance Top Notes: Fresh Bright Floral Accord, Clean Cotton Accord, Drenched Air Accord, Fresh Linen Effect, Wet Green Pear, Blood Orange, Tangerine. Fragrance Mid Notes: White Muguet, Crisp Orange Flower, Watery Cyclamen, White Freesia, Cotton Blossom Headspace, Dewy Jasmine. Fragrance Base Notes: Clean Powder, White Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla Absolute.”
Bath & Body Works Sea Island Cotton Creamy Body Wash comes in an 8 fl. oz. plastic tube that sits on its flip-up cap. The tube is a lovely white and aqua color, and looks nice in my shower. This generally sells for $9.50, but look for specials. The directions suggest you apply to a wet mesh sponge or washcloth, work into a lather, and smooth over skin, then rinse.
Some of the “naturally pampering” ingredients include moisturizing oat protein, skin-smoothing milk and silk proteins, and conditioning milk amino acids.

~ My Experience
I always use a body wash, rather than bar soap, and I’ve tried many, many body washes. I like the tube this comes in - it’s pretty, doesn’t leak, it’s easy to open and dispense. It is opaque though, so you can’t see how much product is left, but that’s not a big deal.
This body wash, as it comes out of the tube, is a gorgeous, pearlescent light aqua blue. Probably the prettiest body wash I’ve ever seen, not that that makes much difference, but I noticed it. It has a creamy consistency that isn’t super thick, yet isn’t at all runny. It has a nice, medium consistency.
I don’t use a washcloth or pouf, I just put some in my hands and massage into my wet skin in the shower. Wow! Great, rich yet light lather! This stuff really leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh, soft and smooth. And the scent! It is simply wonderful - so fresh and clean smelling. And yes, it’s quite noticeable and present, and tends to linger on my skin for a while, but not all day. The scent does not really interfere with your perfume. But during your shower or bath, you will thoroughly enjoy the heavenly scent.
I have dry skin, and in the winter VERY dry skin, and always need to use moisturizing bath products followed by a body lotion. Bath & Body Works Sea Island Cotton Creamy Body Wash does not leave my skin feeling stripped of moisture. While this isn’t advertised as a moisturizing product, I find it does a decent job of leaving my skin lightly moisturized, and certainly not dry or itchy. Yes, I do follow with a body lotion though.
~ Final Thoughts
Bath & Body Work Sea Island Cotton Creamy Body Wash is wonderful! I love it, and I’m picky about my body washes. The scent is divine, and very fresh and clean smelling. This body wash leaves my skin feeling super clean, yet not stripped of moisture. I love trying new products, but I’m hooked on this and I know I’ll be buying another tube. Try it!
