The first time that I ever smelled Calgon Hawaiian Ginger Body Mist was at the old BBQ Factory Restaurant (which is now out of business) in Bakersfield California, the town where I live. One of my favorite servers was wearing it. She smelled delicious, sort of a light and flowery scent. I HAD to know the name of what she was wearing because I loved the smell of it so much that I wanted to buy some for myself.
The bottle of Calgon Hawaiian Ginger Body Mist says “The dazzle of island sunshine. The exhilarating rush of exotic fruit. Mist Hawaiian Ginger all over for a refreshing ‘take me away’ experience.”
The scent IS very fresh and sweet but not too cloying or annoying. Plus, since it is a body mist, it is made with alcohol so it is also refreshing. The front of the bottle calls it “instant refreshment.” And indeed it is.
Whenever I wear Calgon Hawaiian Ginger Body Mist in public, I constantly have people asking me what perfume I am wearing because they like the scent just like I did the first time I smelled it (and still do!).
Calgon Hawaiian Ginger Body Mist is especially nice for the Bakersfield summers where temperatures are near 100 degrees for a couple of months and often it is even hotter. So after you’ve taken a shower, spray your body with Calgon Hawaiian Ginger Body Mist for a great fresh feeling to start your day. Or, you can mist yourself after you’re already hot and a little sweaty for a little of that “instant refreshment.” You just mist your arms and the back of your neck and a quick misting to your clothes and yummy, you smell delicious and feel just a bit cooler (or refreshed). I always mist myself heavily because I really love the scent plus I don’t want to be stinky person!
Calgon Hawaiian Ginger Body Mist is sold in two different sizes, either a two or an eight ounce bottle. You can buy the 8 oz. bottle for around $7.00 at Wal-Mart. The 2 ounce bottle cost around $2.00. The two ounce bottle is the perfect size to carry in your purse or car for a quick “pick-me-up” and the 8 ounce is perfect for use at home. As with any alcohol-based product, it is flammable until it is dry.
The ingredients are Alcohol Denat., Water, Fragrance, Propylene Glycol, Hedychium Coronarium Root Extract, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaen, Propylparaben, FD&C Red 4, FD&C Yellow 5, Ext. D&C Violet 2. Calgon Hawaiian Ginger Body Mist is made by Coty.
If you don’t like the Hawaiian Ginger Body Mist scent, Calgon has other scents to choose from. Some of the other scents available are Tahitian Orchard, Turquoise Seas, Morning Glory, and Perfect Bliss. I am not particularly fond of any of the other scents though they are okay but Hawaiian Ginger Body Mist is the one and only scent for me!
Calgon also sells their body mist scents in tubes of either Body Lotion or Bath Gel. The Hawaiian Ginger body lotion and bath gel smell just as delicious as the body mist itself! In fact, you can purchase them together in a set along with a bath pouf for a great Christmas gift. And after Christmas, some stores will sell the sets for half price because they only carry them at Christmas time so it is considered a seasonal item.
I love Calgon Hawaiian Ginger Body Mist so I highly recommend it to anyone who likes a light, fresh, flowery type of scent that is neither overpowering nor expensive.
