I’ve used so many LUSH products that I am running out of new things to buy. I’ve been continually ordering my favourites from www.lush.com, and to my delight a LUSH store just opened in Overland Park, Kansas. It’s a whole 5 minutes from my house. My latest LUSH order contained the Lush Sunny Side Bubble Bar. It was one I hadn’t tried before because it’s covered in glitter and I was afraid of the mess it would make. However, like I said, I was running out of things to try..

Lush Sunny Side Bubble Bar is 3.5 ounces and it’s covered in golden glitter. It’s sort of shaped like a fat hockey puck. When you take the bar out of the packaging, you will get glitter on your hands and on the floor. If you can’t accept that, then don’t try this bubble bar. I broke up Sunny Side and the middle of the bar is soft and orange-clay coloured. There are a few sparkles in the centre as well, but most of the sparkles come from the outside.

Sunny Side has a strong citrus aroma. I happen to love all things citrus, so I was very happy about this. I threw the broken piece under the running water and let the bar do it’s job. Immediately tons of bubbles appeared. However, as with many LUSH bubble bars, the pieces don’t stay under the running water. Sunny Side sort of dispersed around my tub in soggy pieces. The bar did make my entire bathroom smell like a very pleasant citrus scent.

The most amazing thing about Lush Sunny Side Bubble Bar is the way it makes the water in the tub appear. It is absolutely breath taking. The golden glitter doesn’t just float around the tub. It makes the water look like layers upon layers of swirly golden clouds. I can’t describe it, but it’s worth buying Sunny Side just to see the way it makes the water look. The only down side is that you do have to clean out your tub after a bath due to the glitter residue. But, I think it’s worth it!

Sunny Side did soften the water and my skin. I didn’t feel the need to use any lotion after my bath, which is very odd since I use lotion all the time. I liked the way the fruity scent lingered on my skin and I could still smell it under my pajamas when I awoke in the morning. (I am night bather!)

I would definitely recommend Lush Sunny Side Bubble Bar to anyone who likes a citrus bar, and anyone who wants to see how cool the water looks! The cost is $5.95 and I would say one can possibly get 4-5 good baths with it!
