Maybelline is one of the three drugstore brands I’ll regularly buy from. Foundation/skin makeup has been the type of makeup I shop and try the most, and I’m quite satisfied with this foundation.
I use for every day basis and have been for over a year. It gives sheer to medium coverage, and doesn’t clog pores, which is very important for me since I’m acne-prone.
Maybelline’s Pure Makeup says it is shine control, but even with maybelline powder, my skin is still shiny right after I put it on. I have oily-combination skin, but since this stuff isn’t bad for my skin, I tend to overlook that detail and just carry blotting paper in my pocket or whatever.
I prefer a matte finish, and this def. gives a more natural finish. The bottle says “flawless finish” but it really doesn’t cover, although it does give you a more even skintone. I would suggest concealer for those of you with dark spots or anything like that.
This stuff does go on smooth, blends well, but it doesn’t last all day. Since it is a drugstore brand and not MAC or Sephora, I’m not too disappointed, and it’s only like $6-7.
So overall, I like this foundation and think it’s worth a try.
