This summer we’ve been taking a lot more baths, and trying a lot more “bubble” products. My kids and myself want lots of bubbles, bubbles that last, bubbles that smell good … and I want bubbles that are made with products good for the skin. One of the last bubble bars we have tried from LUSH is the LUSH French Kiss Bubble Bar.

I’ve read reviews both good and bad about this bar, and had no real expectations. I will say that we did not get this one for free, it was not an overstock, and what arrived was really fresh, creamy and easy to use. I think I am learning more and more this seems to affect the “bubble” performance perhaps the most.

LUSH French Kiss Bubble Bar is explained as a lavender blend, and shaped just like a giant purple and white swirled Hershey’s kiss. It even has a sprig of rosemary sticking out of it, just like the kiss tag! It really is adorable to look at and part of what drew me to it. Also I thought the scents might be really comforting for everyone.

Though shaped like a kiss we found this pretty easy to break apart with a butter knife. We got 3 uses out of this bubble bar. We found that the product was very creamy and smooth and light in our hands. That’s what I mean about it being a fresh bar. It made really easy, foaming, lathering, pretty white bubbles. We all liked that this bubble bar did not tint the water. The bubbles did not last quite as long as another LUSH bubble bar we used, but our LUSH French Kiss Bubble Bar overall lasted for the entire bath. (We’ve also found we get the best bubbles when we crumble the bar right in the stream of the bath water)

The scent was mostly lavender but I did smell other herbs in there. It wasn’t overly strong, but it certainly made me notice. I really enjoyed the scent and it lingered slightly after the bath. The entire bath smelled really nice, and dare I say, calm? I found it really relaxing to use and already plotting when to order more. We really enjoyed the LUSH French Kiss Bubble Bar that much!

After the bath we didn’t notice super moisturized skin, though our skin wasn’t drying either. I wouldn’t say this is the most fragrant or the most moisturizing of the LUSH bubble bar lines, but it certainly caught our attention as the most soothing one. I see this as being used after stressful days, illnesses or just a way to calm down after an event.

LUSH French Kiss Bubble Bar was very pleasing to us and we really liked how relaxing it felt and that it wasn’t an overdone bar — very nice job LUSH.
