I’ve mentioned before that I’m a huge fan of grapefruit. I love their sourness and tartness. When shopping at The Body Shop sometime last year one of the free gifts I revived was a two-ounce bottle of their Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel.

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel comes in a round plastic bottle holding 8.4 ounces of product. The shower gel is light pink and can be seen through the bottle. The lid can flip up or screw off.

I was so excited to use this shower gel when I first got it. When I smelled it from the bottle it smelled just like a real fresh grapefruit that was cut open. With all the sweetness and sourness. I love this scent.

I couldn’t wait to use it. I got even more excited when I saw that its not as runny as the previous shower gel I used from The Body Shop, which was the Mango, that one was basically water. The Pink Grapefruit is significantly thicker and I like the scent sooo much better. I use a dollop about the size of a nickel, it creates tons and tons of lather. And the wonderful scent spreads into my entire bathroom.

This is definitely a summery scent, it always refreshes me and wakes me up in the morning. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I love grapefruits so much. I’ve also purchased the matching body butter, which honestly I haven’t removed the seal from yet because I want to finish some of the other body butters I have first.

This shower gel is not moisturizing, nor is it drying. It works just right in the summer, but may not be enough for the winter. But the scent is wonderful any time. This shower gel rinses off easily and effortlessly. My skin is left soft and clean, and the scent is gone.

Ingredients: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate, Methylparaben, Benzophenone-4, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Extract, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Denatonium Benzoate, Red 4.

I really like my Pink Grapefruit Gel, I suggest anyone who is into summery, citrusy scent it give it a try.
