I like to snack on power bars or health bars.They travel well. I can toss one in my boat bag, gym bag, pocketbook or eat one while walking my dog. My grand kids enjoy the as a snack and the grand girls aren’t much on eating breakfast so their Mom gives them each a Pria Power Bar to eat on the way to school. As a quicky breakfast it’s not bad. Personally I prefer a nice warm meal but each family is different. At least it offers vitamins C, E and B12. This meet 60% of daily requirements. If your child takes a multivitamin you may want to check with his or her doctor about this.

I’ve tried numerous brands and flavors of Power Bars and Health Bars. This one is one I’ve stuck with for awhile. I’ll often have one as a snack rather than a dessert after dinner.

I was little unimpressed with it’s size for the .99 you get only 28 grms/98 oz. but it’s packed with 23 vitamins and is low in calories (possibly because of the small size). If you do weight watchers as my best friend does it counts as only 2 points.

The blurb on the package describes the bar as being “Deliciously Smarter nutritional energy snack bar…..that keeps you going through the day. The bar I eat is chocolate covered. I’m a big chocolate fan. When you bite in you get the chocolate and then a nice crunch from the Soy crisps and Rice crisps. Soy is very healathy for you and this is a nice way to get it.

The taste is sweet, a little gooey and has no real noticeable after taste. It’s just a good tasting snack. It satisfies both your sweet tooth and that need to eat gooey, crunchy things.

The word Power connotes energy to me but the sugar content is not really all that high so I didn’t and don’t get a rush. I prefer not to get a rush because with rush comes crash so this bar works nicely for me. Because the sugar content is not all that high I can eat one as an late night snack and not worry about a big wake up surge of energy at that time of day anyway.

If this is the affect you want try the Power Bar PowerGel or Power Bar Pria Performance Bar with more sugar and carbs.The Power Bar line is a good reliable line of nutritious snacks and supplements.

Each bar has as much calcium as a glass of milk. From the site it tells you you will get a nutritional kick. If your children are going to eat a “candy bar” I would have them eat this instead. It tastes and looks like a candy bar but it’s healthier for them.

They are great for people who work in an office, they can keep some in their desk. They are super to take along if you are going on a hilke, pack one in your back pack. If you’re a soccer Mom, sitting in the bleachers for your kids game, bring some along. They are really a good all around easy to pack snack bar with good nutrition. If you’re packing them keep in mind they are chocolate coated and shouldn’t be allowed to get too warm. I tend to keep these in the refrigerater.
