I don’t know how many of you out there have tried the kids line of shoes from The Children’s Place, but I’m here to recommend it. This is about our third year buying shoes from there and I must say they are great- one they don’t break the bank when it comes to cost, two they are really durable, and three you’ll find cute styles as well.

One of the styles I bought this year was the Blossom Mary Jane. This particular one comes in four colors, navy blue, pink, brown, and purple. They cost $18.50 per pair and they come in sizes toddler 3-11. We have the pink pair as well as the brown pair.

This is made of a soft, faux leather that isn’t too stiff around the edges, it’s pretty soft and flexible, but not flimsy. The footbed is treated with an antimicrobial substance, and the heel of the shoe is coated with polyester so they don’t slip when your kiddo walks, and there’s a little extra padding in that area as well for comfort.

It fastens via Velcro across the middle of the foot, and it’s easy to work with so kids can do it themselves. Also, this has a good amount of Velcro that’s pretty strong so they don’t come undone while walking.

The bottom of the shoe is done in black rubber, and there is no high heel to the shoe, which I appreciate because my youngest isn’t allowed to wear shoes with heels to school. I am also very glad the bottom of the shoe is non-skid as well as non marking. Those black marks shoes make on the floor can be troublesome to get off.

The front part of the shoe has some embroidery on it, on the brown shoe it is done in pink and has butterflies, and then there are a few flower appliqués on there as well done in two shades of pink. I will say that the appliqués are done nicely and have not shown any wear nor have they come undone.

To clean these up, well obviously you can’t put them in the washer, but I just take a baby wipe and wipe them off as needed. If you get any major toe scratches some leather cleaner will do fine in cleaning it up.

All in all, these are really cute shoes that are comfortable, easy for kids to fasten themselves, good looking, and not all that expensive. They have several color choices as well. I have no complaints about these shoes and would recommend them to any little lady in your home.
