I have been using the Farouk Chi Turbo for about 3 years now. I have very thick course wavy hair. This flat iron was recommended to me by my stylist who used it as well. I had been using less expensive brands that usually left me with frizzy hair simply because they did not get hot enough. The Farouk Chi Turbo gets very hot. Hot enough to straighten my sometimes difficult to manage hair. It has an adjustable heat setting, so do not worry if you have thin or fine hair that does not require as much heat. The one inch model is the perfect size to straighten from roots to ends. It also heats incredibly fast. In about one minute, the iron is heated and ready to go. I have had the same iron for 3 years with no problems. I purchased it on sale at Ulta for about $130. Yes, it is a lot of money for a hair care appliance, but if you want straight shiny hair, it is money well spent. This iron is light weight and highly portable. Although it gets very hot, it cools pretty quickly. You will be amazed at the “straight from the salon” results you get with Chi!
