I really love the nice varieties of hand soap that Softsoap offers. I’ve tried many of them and generally been pleased. I wanted something pink for my bathroom (yes, I do coordinate the soap with the bathroom!), and I was attracted to the pretty bottle of the Pomegranate & Mango.

~ Product Description

Softsoap Pomegranate & Mango Hand Soap is a liquid hand soap that comes in a plastic 12 fl. oz. bottle with a pump top. The bottle features a pleasant rounded shape, and is short and kind of squat, which actually I like for my bathroom counter as sometimes the tall ones almost get in the way. So if you like a lower profile shaped bottle, this one’s got it.

This soap does not declare itself to be moisturizing, or claim any specific properties. There is nothing on the bottle making any claims other than this is a pomegranate and mango hand soap.
The bottle is made of clear plastic so you can see the pretty pink liquid soap inside, and also note when you’re getting down to the bottom so you can replace. The pump top has a convenient wide shape which makes it easy to dispense, even with wet hands.

I found this at my local Target store, for around $3.50 I think. Not bad, and the bottle is pretty and looks great on my counter. This would be nice for a kitchen, bath, guest bath, or anyplace you need hand soap. Actually this is one of Softsoap’s prettier bottles.

~ My Experience

Well, I definitely like the handy, wide pump top because it makes dispensing the soap convenient and easy, even when your hands are wet. The scent is really nice, I love it in fact. It’s definitely noticeable, but not super perfumy. The pomegranate and mango scent is sort of tangy and not overly sweet. A man would find the scent appealing I would think, and not too girly smelling.

The lather I get with this soap is soft and on the minimal side. I mean I get some lather, but it’s not what I would call a rich lather at all. I think maybe I’d prefer a little heavier lather, but hey! my hands get clean and it does the job very well, and rinses off cleanly.

This does not claim any moisturizing properties, but I’ve found that it does not leave my skin feeling stripped of moisture at all. My hands feel clean, soft and smooth. I have sometimes not even followed up with a hand lotion after using this soap, which generally I would never do.

The pomegranate and mango scent does not really linger much on my skin after it dries, but while I’m using the soap I love the smell.

~ Final Thoughts

Softsoap Pomegranate & Mango Hand Soap is a very nice hand soap that leaves my hands feeling clean and soft, and not stripped of moisture. The pomegranate and Mango scent is rather tart and clean smelling, and not overly sweet or perfumy. The bottle is pretty and looks great in my bath or kitchen. I suppose the lather could be a little richer, but that’s not a huge issue. Try it!
