Timberland Work Boots offer the perfect way for you to stay warm, dry and comfortable. The 6" Timberland 65016 does just this. When you put on this insulated Timberland safety toe work boot, you wont have to worry about injury too much, as this safety toe complies with national safety standards. With this rating you’ll be safeguarded against heavy objects dropped or rolled onto your feet! These Timberland Work Boots are also built for cold weather conditions. Constructed with 200 gram Thinsulate insulation, and merged with 6" uppers, you won’t have to worry about a cold weather chill on your toes. Indeed, these Timberland insulated work boots have a moisture wicking for lining that will keep you’re feet dry and reduce odor, because moisture can be a problem whether you’re working inside or outdoors. In addition, the full grain 6" wheat leather uppers of this Timberland Pro Work Boot are waterproof as well. Experience dryness and temperature regulation from now on and enjoy

When you are working in any outdoor setting for an extended period of time, it is extremely important to find the right item for footwear. Since I was working in the landscape industry which meant I’d be around heavy items, mucky conditions, and often inclement weather, I elected for the Timberland Work Boot. I chose this one for several reasons: insulation and safety toe were the major choices however.

I was well aware of the benefits of Thinsulate since I owned both gloves and a work jacket with Thinsulate lining. Therefore, I appreciated the addition of this to my Timberland boot. Steel toe protection was also a must because I often found large rocks, sometimes boulders, heavy bags of chemicals, and plant material seemed to all miraculously find their way to the top of my foot on several occasions. Also, in order to pass OSHA requirements, steel toed shoes are a necessity.

These boots have 200 gram Thinsulate insulation as well as 6″ uppers. They also have what they call moisture wicking in their lining that helps keep your feet dry and snug. Dry feet also reduce the chance of stinky feet, the down fall of most enclosed work boots. The outer casing is completely waterproofed, offering even more protection. The sole of the boot is deeply grooved, rubberized, and has great traction. Of course those deep grooves come with a price. In the extremely muddy conditions I often found myself in, they quickly became packed and added to the weight of the boot.

The rawhide strings lace up the boot and are long enough, at least for me, to wrap around the neck of the boot to help wayward mulch or dirt from sneaking inside. You’d think a 6″ top would offer enough protection, but I’ve been in some areas where I am up half-way to my knees in, uh, stuff.

You may have noticed this is a man’s boot. I chose this because I could find the wider width and it was a substantial boot. At the time I made my purchase, work boots for women were a little soft for my needs and a general boot for a woman was just ridiculous. The fine leather on this boot made it attractive as well as practical. I won’t say it retained that pretty camel color for long, but it wears quite well no matter how it looks.

Overall impression:
This offered me everything I needed in a work boot and more. It kept my feet dry and, except in extremely frigid conditions, warm and toasty. The leather held up well and the soles kept their deep ridges. Fortunately I don’t have to don these babies any longer for work but I haven’t forgotten them completely. I still need them in the spring when I go out to start preparing the garden but I only wear them now when I have to do heavy grunt garden work. For the price and style, you can’t find a better boot than the Timerland 65016 Pro Boot.

Thanks,
Susi
