Moisture Milks Conditionner With Soy Milk Proteins And luscious Melon Extracts Nourishes And Detangels As It Conditions Exclusive Moisturizer

I wanted to switch many of my hair products. My hair was becoming more and more dry, and I was conditioning more and more. I thought maybe it was time to look at ingredients and the types of conditioners that I used, so I started searching hair message boards to get ideas.

I noticed that when I used a conditioner with a silicone based product in it, my hair felt really soft while in the shower but not so much when it dried. After some reading on various websites and the like, I agreed with one of the recommendations to go silicone/’cone free. There are arguments for using and not using them, but I found for my hair I did better without them. One conditioner recommended over and over again was Alberto VO5.

The Moisture Milk line was one of the very first VO5 conditioners that I tried. And it ended up being one of my very favorites. I picked this line because of the notation that it had “soy” proteins in it - something my hair had liked before.

This conditioner comes packaged in a 15 oz bottle. Honeydew Smoothie is a distinctive melon scent. The product comes bright, light green and I can smell it the moment I open the bottle. It really does smell exactly like a honeydew melon! The bottle has a silver colored flip top lid that is easy to use.

The ingredients are: Water (Aqua); Cetyl Alcohol; Stearyl Alcohol; Stearalkonium Chloride; Steareth-21; Glyceryl Stearate; Cucumis Melo (Melon) Fruit Extract; Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract; Tocopheryl Acetate; Biotin; Thiamine HCl; Polysorbate 20; Ascorbic Acid; Panthenol; Propylene Glycol; DMDM Hydantoin; Disodium EDTA; Fragrance (Parfum); Yellow 10 (CI 47005); Blue 1 (CI 42090); Yellow 5 (CI 19140); Green 3 (CI 42053) {so nothing ending in the letters -cone}

This product comes out pretty thin but not watery. It looks like a regular conditioner and not very thick. Typically, I use about a palm sized in my hair, which I don’t mind due to the price. This scent I feel is stronger than the other I have tried and I really, really notice it in the shower. I even feel it lingers a little in my hair, but mostly the scent rinses out. It doesn’t compete with any scented hair products I use afterward. Typically I let this conditioner set on my hair for a few minutes while finishing my shower and then rinse out.

It rinses out clean and my hair feels soft in the shower - but without the “slip” a ‘cone product can provide. It’s easy to use and is soft in my hands as well. It feels really light and not greasy.

I still cannot believe something so inexpensive works so well in my hair. It’s simple to use and the price cannot be beat! I can use this conditioner days in a row without any build-up on my hair. It works equally well with a variety of shampoos and styling products.

VO5 makes a few different scents in the Moisture Milk line, and I now own every one of them. I feel the VO5 Moisture Milk Honeydew Smoothie Conditioner is one of the strongest scented, and though different in that way, works exactly the same as the rest. This particular one is one I like to use in the summer months, as that’s when I think of eating melons, though it certainly could be used year round.
